Ok gentlemen.. Which car do you all think Johnny Lightning should do next year? It must be something that hasn't been done yet. (No recasts!)

I want to see the 78-81 Malibu & Malibu Classics.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I'm still holding out for a Rambler/AMC Marlin as my #1 pick. With a '61 DeSoto a close second. MK II and MK III Toyota Supras and the '75-'79 Nova round out my top five.

well, I hear an early model Corvair is coming next year (62 I believe), but a late model vair (65-69) is top on my list, has to be a 2 door hardtop too.

I'd like to see a 67 Dodge Coronet R/T.
I wouldn't be unhappy to see a 65 or 66 Plymouth Satellite either.

To be honest, I couldn't tell a '62 from a '69 Corvair.. Are they similar enough that one mold could make all years with minimal changes? I hope they do a nice job on this one...

I've had suspicions that we'll get that cheap, oversized RC2 casting. :flamewar:

Sadly, I believe your suspicion is correct, they've said the only think keeping them back is the legal mumbo jumbo.

As for molding a late from an early model, no way:

They've shown the red testshot in NewsFlash. Someone, either Mac or Tony, said on HobbyTalk that it wasn't included in the licensing agreement for '06.

I don't recall seeing it in the News Flash... Does it look like the RC2 casting, or is it a new casting of it's own?

I would like to see them do a Taurus SHO. Just think it would be cool to see in 1/64th scale. I have never seen it done before.

Since you asked here is my dream line up:
1991 LX 5.0 Convertible
1979 Ghia Notchback Coupe
1974 Mach 1
1974 Mustang II Grande
1976 Mustang Stallion Hatchback

Just because........

Nice choices. The only first generation Taurus I know in 1/64 is an ERTL Scene Machines that was available as a police car (no interior, but it had pictures if you looked through a window) about 15 years ago. Very hard to find nowadays- makes me wish I had picked one up all those years ago at Jamesway (anyone else remember them?)- I've never seen another.

How about a 74 TO 75 CHEVY IMPALA AND A 1974 TO 78 CHEVY TRUCK AND A 73 to 74 SS laguna or chevelle. I would also like to see some one make some of the the older chevy trucks like the 66 thru 72.

. . . . and with a little re-working, a Malibu Wagon and El Camino. I'd like a '79 El Camino SS. In black. And a red 4-speed interior, too, while I'm wishin' . . . . rallye gauge pack, power windows . . . sigh, shoulda never sold my 1:1. It was a long time ago but I still kick myself around the block when I think of it. ;) or maybe :fiddle:

Reading through these wish lists, only 2 castings have come to life.

JLs '63 Corvair and GLs '67 Coronet R/T. At least some wishes came true this year... :)
