Whats recasts do you think RC2/JL should do next year?

The 1973 Mustang Convertible is first on my list. One of my least favorite Mustang castings.

hahahahahaha I see a bunny with a pancake on its head.

How about the 68 chevelle with the proper street set up and wheel stance instead of this dang low riding chevelle they have now. I want to see the chevelle and some others jacked up in the rear end and some more detail to them.

Hi there. This is my first post at Swifty's Garage, just registered this evening. Is there coffee on? I've brought do-nuts.

I drive a 1:1 of another JL that's worth re-casting - the hood anyway. How about a stock hood and with the spoiler-delete option on this one? All black, keep the wheels. B)

I can see re-casting these two, Sean. They're hideous!

But why this one?

Because it looks like a Mustang II, LOL! Look at the doors- they're way too small. The casting looks good from the front and rear, but the side is way off:

vs

Yes, they did build 44 Mustang II convertibles. This is also (to my knowledge) the only known survivor.

You need to actually like Mustangs to get it, I guess.

You're absolutely right of course.. I'm not a biggest Mustang fan and I've never cared for the body style so I could never tell what was off and what wasn't.

They have to re-do the Cougar Eliminator. It's just plain ugly.

What if they imported the Cougar Eliminator from the ERTL American Muscle line?

Don't those all have the cheesy plastic pieces on them? Clear plastic headlights and chrome plated plastic bumpers along with "some" plastic body panels?

And they did just that and turned a great casting into a dud. :(

Support your local demo derby.

As much as i like the idea that JL actually did it, they need to redo the chevy wagon. This was chevy's widest car ever made, yet it is about the same size as the Vega.

Posted Image

Be nice if they redid this one. The off road 4x4 look doesn't get it done. I know this casting is ancient and back from the mid 1990s, but a recast would be nice. And how about just doing this as a coupe with a roof?

It's also lacking the "Roundback" wagons' signature round back. This one was chopped to fit the blisterpack. Great car, lousy casting.

I'm going all the way back to the first post. Of all JL castings, this is the one I would like to see retooled. The '66 Malibu / Chevelle is my favorite year for that model hands down! thumbsup! :D

Maybe given some time this one will be re-done but I don't expect to see that done in the near future.

I know that, I talk to myself all the time, I am the only person who'll listen to me.

But IMHO it is a real nice looking casting.
