Why don't you tell us about your quest to get a JL from every state and give us an update on how far along you are Boogie. It has been a while since I heard about it and since this is a new board, some folks may not have heard about it.

Long ago in a province far away was a young collector Boogie who realized that pickens were slim, so he posted (HT) that he was going to start a quest, after ridicule from another member (Darth Nut) he went guns ablazing and many members joined in on that quest.

The quest is to get a JL from every state, sounded easy at first but not so much.
I've heard that there are one or two on their way but we'll have to wait and see.

I will put a list together and see what I have so far. I think the number is about 28 or so.

Anyone who can aid in this mission would be appreciated.

What states do you still need, Boogie?

Hey Bray, Swifty, CenterShock! Did you notice B doesn't have NJ on the list? How about sending him one when you go through NJ on your way to Johnny Jam?
Just a thought...

I think the person has to reside there in order to count. :)

That's not true and I can personally vouch for that. Boogie already had a car from CT (where I live) so, when I went to Vermont for Easter, I sent him a JL from the Green Mountain state. (of course, I checked with him first to make sure it "qualified"). The package had a Vermont postmark so it qualified!
Don't mean to be a wise butt, I'm sure B would like to get cars from state residents, but if he's missing half the country, ya gotta be creative.

So if we happen to stop at a Toys R Us in Wayne, New Jersey and pick up a JL it would qualify, as long as we mailed it from New Jersey?

As a bonus, if I mail it, you're getting an ex-NJ (and native born) resident mailing it.

Works for me, even if its mailed from somewhere else I trust you guys. Its not like the the cars are going anywhere else.
as long as someone signs the card and marks NJ on it, its good to go.

Now that you mention it. I do remember something like that being discussed "over yonder".. I stand corrected and apologize. :)

There is a pretty active HT member from New Jersey. Odd that he never volunteered. His wiz is dark.

Hmm. Goof around in New Jersey or arrive a bit early for the JAM.

What do you think Bray?

I was thinking we could stop on the way back...

North Jersey is my old stomping grounds. I know all the (remaining) haunts. Depending on what time we get out of the car show on Sunday, we may have to hit the Boonton Wal*Mart (because the Wayne TRU will be closed). I also know a great pizza place in Pompton Lakes worth stopping at for dinner...

Sean, Rich told me last night he thought you guys were gonna try to go to the car show. That's cool. I am planning on going myself so we'll need to reconnect in Manchester (CT)
6 hour drive, huh? Sounds like you guys might be taking Monday off from work? Have a safe trip and I'll see tomorrow at THE JAM! :)
