I tried to think of a witty title, but I couldn't :(

Anyway, this thread will be for the discussion of bangers, banger racing and your unfinished banger photos.

Discuss away!

Well, I'll start by saying I have only 4 in the works at the moment, a Ford Granada, Volvo estate, Jaguar XJS and my old Opel Diplomat

I've got tons in the works.

Flamethrowers is done but awaiting pictures. This was actually the first demolition derby car I ever did (about three years ago). I converted it to a banger and freshened the paint job a bit (made it uglier, unfortunately).

Shattered Dreams is a Roller that actually looks nice. It's awaiting wheels, and possibly a few alterations yet.

I have a new Impaler ready to debut. Still working on it, but it's a different year than my earlier one (which is going to the Lightning Fest charity auction).

Awaiting paint include a Yatming Audi Quattro (turned Audi Coupe GT), a Vauxhall Astre, a Maisto Ford van, some Mercedes', a JL Ford Fairlane, a Revell Honda Civic, a Corgi Jaguar XJ6, MG 1100, and a Rover Sterling (825?). The MG needs some work to the base as well.

Odds are you won't get pictures of these until after Fest, but hopefully they'll all be done in time to take the trip with me.

Sean - here's a comparison of the size of the Hongwell Ford Corsair and a Superkings Sierra and Majorette Fiat Tipo, it sits nicely between the two scale-wise

In that case, it's way too big for my preferences. The FIAT Tipo is already in the 1/55 area.

Thanks!

Here is a Ford Transit I am in the middle of doing, It has been entered into a competition on another diecast forum which involves customising or restoring a model Transit, the members have no idea of its fate, I wonder what they will think of it when I finish it :D

Hopefully I will be going to a bootsale tomorrow if the weathers good.....

I picked up a box of beaters at Lightning Fest. Mostly European cars, with about 40 or so going to become bangers, with another ten or so being banger support vehicles!

I can arrange that. In the meantime, I picked up some Yanks for you and Daniel at Lightning Fest. Not as many as I would've liked, and no hearses at all. :(

Well, I do have a stripped hearse on my workbench that I was going to send your way. Assuming I ever find the base and interior for it.

These are the ones that are done:

Flamethrowers
Shattered Dreams
Renegades
Elmyra
Rex
Revvers
Junkers
Shamrocks
Brownies
Rainbow Warrior

Sometime over the weekend I'll get pics of them up and running. The problem is I used my grass mat (my track) at Lightning Fest and it's been cut up and is staying with the track (and is no longer in my possession). I need a new background for them...

Also, Pinky is now complete. This one:
