 That's excellent! Not as bad as this, though, bringing a whole new meaning to the term cut 'n' shut!

Dan H, I got cross with the manky Capri after I managed to snap the base in 2 while drilling it out, so I snapped the car, too. Quite realistic, I think

News from the Firecracker so far is that there has been the usual first bend pile ups and the winner was decided on the last car running as no one completed the set number of laps  !!!!

I would like to point out there is no affiliation between myself and this banger. But now I'm interested in finding out all I can on it!

I've been playing around with the templates I have (the larger versions of the emoticars) and have designed some new paint jobs for some of the older bangers that have been re-stripped (Pugs, Crashmaro, LeCarcass, and Damn Yankees, with another dozen+ still waiting to be redesigned) and also designed a few new ones, since I had templates for the cars in question.

I've currently got about sixty cars primered, with another thirty to forty yet to go. Almost all of them are going to be bangers, including the nearly twenty former bangers that have been sent to the stripper to be redone.

If you've ever wondered what a banger factory would look like, right now my workstation looks like one. ;)

In addition to that, I've been tweaking a few others with minor updates. All in all, lots of cars coming soon from me- if I get another nice day off to do some painting!

More classic car forum madness:

how come they think banger racing is a 'sport' anyway - it's basically just childish stupidity.

I wish the Government would ban it on envronmental grounds anyway.....all that oil and antifreeze etc getting pissed on the ground in crashes etc. it's not as if banger racers vote or anything!

Ha ha, quality! most of them are too busy reading old 'spedeworth' mags while drinking a cup of tea with an oil slick on the top, and feeding the neighbours cat to their pitbull to notice there's an election on.

I'd like to see their reaction when I point out to them that many of their classic cars do exactly the same thing, why not just do as one of those east-asian countries has done, banning all cars over 8 years old from the countries roads?

As for the not voting, that's just a plain stupid assumption

I get the impression that these guys are all ROM and no RAM. Even if they do have RAM they're still missing a hard drive.

Got a few done tonight- pictures tomorrow.

I say this after I've already painted the "CRASHMARO" name on the car, but perhaps I should have renamed this one "CRASHMAN" so as not to be stuck to one model of car... I may yet fix that. ;)

The Mondeos are fairly easy to find around here. The next show I go to (York, in two weeks) I'll look for some for you). Good ones and banger ones. ;)

Tomicas are hard to come by. The only show I used to be guaranteed to find Tomicas at was the Hershey Matchbox Convention, but they stopped having those. :(

I assume you're looking for Cedrics, Bluebirds, and Crowns?

Support your local demo derby.

That jag looks like a mini-me version of some of the early 1960s full size Chrysler wagons back here in the states. At least it has a similar b-pillar to it. If you go to the following link, and go to the Chrysler pics on the left side, you will find pics of mopar wagons.http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/gallery.html

I've got another limo coming up soon, I'll be keeping hush-hush about it though as it's a bit special and promises to be one of my best cars yet (if it works!)
