Are the silver sides on the Hotwheels dropstars 64 Impala tampo printed on??, as I want to keep the black to do a replica of an Impala that has been raced B)

I couldn't get my Impala to strip at all. I couldn't even get the silver off! I finally broke down and bought a second and just kept the stock paint on it.

Your best bet is probably to just paint over the silver.

Any MCCH Members Remember This  ??

I've made about half of them into bangers so far, and many more of them will end the same way. The Maverick Ford Sierra started out as the one behind the ''26'' car :D

These are the worst condition cars I have ever bought, they are only suitible for Bangers :P !!!

I remember that! All of them are great banger candidates though, I see a Granada in there, Rover 3500, Transit, Cortinas, Escort's, a veritable treasure trove of bangers!

Shame about the cost, though

Last year I saw one with chipped paint and bent axles, the stallholder wanted £10 for it, because it was ''made in england''

I hate it when people assume they can get huge sums of money for cars in any condition - like when people charge over the top for Dinky just because it's a Dinky, and most of the time in really bad nick

What does one of these in decent shape (mint paint, etc.) run, price wise? I'm actually a huge fan of the Dodge Monaco and would love to get my hands on one...

That happened to me once- I needed (and still need!) a Hot Wheels Dodge Aries wagon for my monster truck layout. I found a mint one, at a show, for a dollar. But I refuse to tear into mint diecast for customs, so I left it. I found a beater at the same show- wheels wrecked, paint mostly gone... and I think to myself- this is the one! $5. I'm flabbergasted. "It's a hard to find casting." "But there's a mint one for a buck on the other side of this very show!" He wouldn't budge, and I haven't seen another since. :(

It is an Austin A55, the smaller version of the Westy, the A55 and A60 Austins are the most popular classic cars to race as they are very tough and rotten ones can be bought cheap
