'Rare item to find' I have at least 2 of those and have found 4 or 5 at bootsales

aughhhhh you ruined my moment
Still, it's the first one I've seen on eBay.

I'll give you that - they don't come up often on ebay, best place is bootsales far cheaper and you can see exactly what you're buying :D

Its the Matchbox Mercury Park Lane- look at the roof. There's a hole for a roof light, making it one of the police/fire chief cars, which the Lincoln was never offered as. Since its a single, round hole, the only two I know of that fit the bill are the Matchbox Galaxie and Park Lane, and that's too big to be the Ford. So I'm going with the Mercury.

Actually, that's a horrible banger candidate. First of all, the hood doesn't open like that (making this a racing car/funny car) and secondly, the roof's been chopped (or the casting is just that poorly proportioned). Revell's done an '81 Regal, and Hot Wheels did an '81 Regal stock car ("NASCAR Stocker") both of which are much better banger candidates. Racing Champions and Johnny Lightning have both done Grand Nationals, which could be faked into regular Regals by removing the hood scoop.

The real car:

Meh. It's better than nothing. Plus, the opening bonnet makes it a great candidate for snapping :D

Crown has got sidelined at the moment, I've had other more important projects to do in the meantime. It will be done though! Some models I've done have taken a good few months for me to finally get my ass in gear and finish them

:D haha yeah, it's going for more than Tel's models :o :flamewar:

The first one in the other links is a Hotwheels '69 Dodge Charger

The Corgi Merc ambulance is cool, shame it has no interior

I also have a slightly larger scale Siku Mercedes ambulance :D though I may not banger it as, even in it's playworn state it's still pretty solid

[EDIT]

The ultimate Merc ambulance, and it's mine.....but it won't get bangered

Jag looks the best of the three, but a non-blurry photo would highlight the flaws in it

Mk.1 Granny - Pink is wrong shade, and the 474 is just, well, not good

Lastly, wtf? Concept Camaro banger? And the hearse is just wasted

..unless I'm writing something tiny, as I haven't got a steady hand!
:D
EDIT: Well well well, we have finally found out the identity of whoever has been bidding on the eBay account jennyp7072 - it's a lad called Brian!
I wonder if his mum knows about all the spending he's done on eBay?
