cheaper........... plus easyer to break without having specilist tools (aka a dremel) my tools consist of a screwdriver to remove the base side cutters to trim seats and cut panels off ect plyers to put bases back on abd glue (and of corse paint and brushs)

Yeah, I use a drill also. I've tried popping a few particularly stubborn bases off with a screwdriver and it never ends well for the base. Or in one case, I broke the body of a Hot Wheels "Taxi" (1980 Chevy Malibu) in half (at the trunk) trying to pry it off.

Be careful of antique dealer wannabes selling overpriced diecast because its 'made in england' or 'its a very old corgi' etc, just stick to the rummage boxes and 'all cars 20p each' stallholders :)
