I'm afraid it was only a small meeting, the people on banger racing photo sites only really seem to take pictures of the big action packed meetings

Oh well. Was it the kind of Skoda Matchbox had in their lineup in the '80s, or a different one? |

What are you going to do for wheels on the My First Matchbox Sterling? Blue tyres aren't all that good
I've got a record number of bangers coming along at the moment - at this point in time I've got 14 in various states of customisation, with a whole shoebox full of cars waiting to be bangered |

I don't know what to do with the blue wheels
I have been looking through some boxes of playworn cars I have and found a few more things for bangers including a Ford Transit camper van!!! |

I've seen demolition derby cars with wheels painted different colors. I assume bangers may do that on occassion also. If not, it's not that hard to do a wheelswap on those Matchboxes. Just lift the tab up and take the wheels out, and then put new wheels in. |

I'm going to the Beech memorial at Bovingdon raceway tomorrow, and there is a chance I will be going to the one at Standlake arena on the 24th September
I'll either take some pictures of the bangers or record some of the action

I'll be off to the memorial on the 24th too, there'll be too many races for me to record on my camera, so I probably won't be bothered! I did have a thought about sending you a DVD of it though but then I remembered it'll be different coding seeing as you are in the USA

Well I went to a bootsale I usually go to only to find that it is now a building site for a new supermarket!!
There was another one nearby but as it was held in a field and it was raining so many stalls were packing up...

Nice! shame about the wheels, though, they're terrible! Is that a pair of Stinkbridge cars in the background? |

They are Stinkbridge cars, a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit and Mercury Commuter, I also have a BMW 5 series in the works
I agree the XJS was very nasty and it deserved to die, making it into a banger wreck was a good way to put it out of its misery

The snapped XJS was a Motor Max or Zylmex, depending on year manufactured. The wheels are from the Zylmex era, but Motor Max uses them to this day on some cars- especially their cheaper series, which this Jaguar is from. |
