The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
|
I had two very annoying events happen to me today. And you know what, I feel like letting people know about the poor experiences I had with the businesses in question. On Sunday I called Verizon to disconnect my phone service with them. Evidently, unlike Wal*Mart, Verizon is only open Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM. For those of you that know me, you know this is extremely inconvenient for me. It's 4:00AM right now, and I can still call in to my cable company. For a huge company like Verizon to have such limited hours as that is totally unacceptable in the 21st century. So today I called and I wanted the disconnect date stopped as of Sunday, when I originally called in. We're talking less than $2 worth of a prorate on the final bill, and a chance to put one last good taste in my mouth regarding a company I've had nothing but bad experiences with. No dice. Well, if you ever wanted me to reconnect services with you at some point in the future, you blew it right there. The sad thing is, this was to be the theme for my day. Today was totally not worth getting out of bed for. ![]() My next complaint is a local Italian place known as Pete's Pizza. I get an hour lunch break, and this place is about 15 minutes away. I call in my order (baked ziti) and they tell me it's going to be twenty minutes. Perfect- by the time I get to my car, drive there, and get to the building, it'll be 20 minutes. I was at 19 when I pulled into the parking lot. Perfect timing, right? WRONG! "Five more minutes." I sit and wait. Five minutes later, my dinner emerges from the back... uncooked... and is placed in the oven. I wait longer, hoping against hope that this wasn't my dinner that had just been placed in the oven, considering the lady who came in after me already had her food in the oven. It was my food all right. Total time to make it from the time I called in? Over 40 minutes. No apology, not even a 'thank you for your business' or 'thank you for your patience'. Heck, I would've accepted a 'have a nice day' even! Nothing! I shredded my menu as soon as I got back to the office. I don't care if the food is decent- that's unacceptable customer service and they'll never get another dime of my money. Just needed to get that off my chest. Thanks for reading. |
