Elaborate with a reply, if you will. Maybe how you got started. What's your motivation?

I figure 1:64 cars are cheaper and more readily available than other scales. I want a little miniature museum, I guess. I've got a few

I started collecting the Highway 35 World Race to reward my oldest for good behavior. He never got them. I already had the collecting bug as I was collecting hockey cards and memorabilia. Then, this year, I rediscovered car collecting with the Acceleracers movie on TV. It opened my view on diecast in a mad way.

Why do I collect? I can't really say. None of the answers fit. I guess the collecting bug hit me again, but for diecast.....

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I love cars. I'll never have all the real ones I desire- no money, and no room to park them even if I did. But I can have thousands of cars in 1/64, and I do. Also, I played with them as a kid, and still do today. Unlike most people, I just never outgrew my toys, so I still have most of the ones I had from when I was a kid, in addition to the ones that have been added to my collection through the years.

They are cheap to buy, unlike a 1:1 car They are cheap to maintain, unlike a 1:1 car. They don't use gasoline, unlike a 1:1 car. I can afford to have many, unlike a 1:1 car.

I can't drive a real one yet. I have to compromise.
