170-odd cars turned up for the memorial meeting, although 245 were booked in :(

It was an absolutely outstanding banger meeting, great action in every race, some enorous wrecks, the biggest of which being the Humber Imperial of 851. The Oldmobile Toronado was stunning in it's one and only race, it was on it's trailer soon after and will probably be headed for the firecracker

Some pic-a-tures:

Nice cars (not fresh, though, these were taken in the interval)

Wreck of the meeting, the extremely rotten Humber Imperial, rear-ended at high speed by a Cadillac Seville! For a minute we were worried about the driver, but he got out OK, with many cheers from the crowd

I went to this meeting too, great stuff!!

I think some drivers didn't turn up because there was heavy rain earlier that day :(

So you want to see the Humber's crash, do you?

Watch this video, it's got it!

Having said that, there are about 25 clips from the meeting on there, Numbers 128-153 are clips, just click 'Beech's Memorial' and there are photos and videos from it

I definately would go to Standlake again, the only problem is that it is a 2 hour long drive from where I live :( , so I would only be able to go to big meets like the Heavy Metal Classic, but there is a high chance I will go to the 2007 Beech meet :)
