Here's a picture of two JL 69 Impalas shown next to a 1/64 scale Holiday Rambler motorhome. The JL cars are included to show size comparisons. ![]() With the roof on and the sides not extended: ![]() With the removeable roof off, and the sides extended you can see a very detailed interior. ![]() ![]() ![]() The chassis is pretty detailed, it has rubber wheels and the front wheels are steerable. The back wheels seem to be on some kind of suspension, as they have vertical movement. It's not a cheap diecast, but it is a lot less expensive than some JL wl sell for. |

A great looking motor home that you have in your collection. I've never seen one in person, but the detail from the pics looks outstanding! What makes this casting even better is that it is in actual 1/64 scale instead of being condensed down to a three inch size. |

Thanks for the detailed pictures. I am definitely impressed with this casting. This is the first time that I have seen close-up detailed pictures. I just may have to acquire one of these. Cheers. Cobra |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

WOW! I like it- its even better than the JL Monaco motorhomes from a few years ago! I'm curious as to whether the model lists the diecast manufacturer? http://jlcollector.com/025.html The JLs can be seen above. They have no opening features and a fixed roof. |

The underside of the chassis just says 'Monaco Coach Corporation Die-Cast Promotional'. I'm not sure where the box is that it came in, I usually don't save that stuff. So, I have no clue as to who made it, but it is even better than my crummy photos show. But the box definately said 1/64 scale. You can't see it, but inside there is a shiny tiled floor in the kitchen/bathrooms areas, and a flock type material where the rug area would be, i.e. in the bedroom, dining and lounge areas. And shiny mirror like material where mirrors would be in this MH. And yes, there is a toilet and shower area too. |

I don't keep packages either, so I know eaxactly what you mean. And trust me, your photos aren't crummy. It would be impossible to get a camera inside to take pics. |

Sean, today I came across the box that the MH came in, quite unexpectedly. It states that the MH was made in China, by the F.F. Ertl III, Inc. company from Dubuque, Iowa. The box also specifically states that this company is not affiliated with the Ertl Company, Inc. of Dyersville, Iowa (I believe that's the diecast company that we are all familiar with). I thought it was a bit odd that they intentionally separate 'their' company from the old Ertl Company we all know. |

Thanks for the info! My guess is that info is there to prevent RC2 from suing. |

For anybody interested, this is the link to the Monaco Coach Online Store. 25% off the diecast motorhomes. They have both the 1:64 ($37.49) and the 1:102 ($7.46). I had to pickup a 1:64 model. There are 4 models to choose from. http://www.monaco-online.com/store/storeframe.html |

I was just looking over some old posts and came on this one. Many folks haven't seen this motorhome in person...maybe I'll bring it to Johnny Jam 07 for display. Hey Sean, that yellow tow truck (SWIFTY'S GARAGE) would be a good display candidate too, but you might want to enclose it in a plastic box, with a sign 'HANDS OFF'. |

They got a BWF version????
I believe the two different names is a reflection of the original owner of ERTL starting a new venture. Think I read that somewhere. |
