Digging around in my scrapbox I came across the remains of a Corgi box truck. As you may know I found a Matchbox Superkinds logging truck with a HIAB crane on it and was going to use it on a different truck. Amazingly, the chassis of the truck has a hole the exact diameter of the screw which holds the HIAB together, in almost exactly the right place
. No fiddly sawing/glueing required, it just screws right into the chassis of the truck, and rotates freely without it being in danger of falling off
. Now I just need to give it a lick of paint, and get some miniature chains for the craneTalk about a lucky break! Additional pics can be supplied if you want to see exactly what I'm on about, I might end up selling it on ebay if it works out well
