Almost all of mine to date have been fictional, although I do plan on starting to do more real drivers too. Being a Yank, I actually don't know the real drivers well. Plus if I make a mistake on a fictional car, who'll know? ;)

I get most of my stuff from car boots & some models are much harder to find than others. The Matchbox Cortinas are fairly common & the Maisto Granadas are qite easy to get too.The Matchbox Cavalier seems much rarer though,& I've never even seen a Matchbox Mondeo.I've got a Majorette Sierra, but only seen the one.Plenty of Corgi & Matchbox Sierras & Matchbox Volvo 760s though

Saab 9000's, and Jag XJ40's are really easy to find at boot sales, here are a few other great banger cars:

Posted Image

Matchbox Mk.1 Capri

Posted Image

Husky/Corgi Juniors Mk.10 Jag

Posted Image

Tomica Nissan Cedric saloon

Posted Image

Siku Mk.1 Granada estate

Posted Image

Matchbox Lesney Mk.4 Zodiac

Posted Image

Matchbox Rover Sterling

Posted Image

Possibly the best banger car casting ever, Corgi's Volvo 245DL Estate which is basically a Volvo 240. Matchbox also did a large scale version of it too of which I have one but haven't done it yet - I'm waiting for the perfect car

Back to the original topic, this was my first 'diorama' of sorts, but I need a small section of track to put them on permanently

I can't bear to damage a Mk.2 Granny in case it goes wrong  If I find a whole load at once - say 5 or 6 - I'd give it a try :)

mookie trust me when i say this the granadas are one of the SIMPLEIST models to dismantel and "crash" if u have a small pair of wire cutters u cut along the front lines on the bonnet to seperate from the wings then bend each side down (gentlly as to not snap it) then gently bend the wings aruond the front or bend them out to look like a heavy hit has ocored

plus whats the worst that can happen ? if u do snap somthing off then just use a soldering iron and solder the parts back together :P

as soon as i get min of 2 then ill show u as example :)

this is probably cheating but spoke to steve from auto-rex and he suggested getting some plasticard the same thickness as the boot and remodel the boot after hacking the metal off, melting it and pushing the car you want to be the back car in to the plastic aparently it bends the thing propper , may try this if any body wants me too have already lined up the cars.

Hmmm....how about Suicide Squad vs Speedy Reed, or Keefy vs. Webby?
Mr. Happy vs Webby? base Webbys Jag on the one raced at the HMC a good few years ago. It snapped off almost exactly like that too

The Team Mental car is a mk3 Cortina.

I'm either thinking civil war or Krash Kings for the diorama :D
