Back in college I had a 62 Chevy conv, white with blue interior. I've wanted to make a JL car like it to display, and just got around to it. Yeah, I know all 62 Chevy convertibles were Impalas, but you have to work with what you got. It looks pretty much like the photos of my old car.

I started out with a Coke hardtop car, then took the tampos and the roof off.

My 1:1 car had a chrome Hurst floor shifter, so I had to add that:

Here's pictures of my 1:1 that I used to have. I tried to make the JL Chevy as close as I could to it.

That's me in the picture, a long, long time ago. I'd trade my Jag for that car in a heartbeat!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Very nice custom, and the real car looks amazing!

My first car ('83 Supra) was white with a blue interior too. It just was nowhere near as cool as your '62 Chevy droptop!

Wow! Not only is that a totally AWESOME custom... I really like the old pics!!! Did you buy that car new? I was in diapers at the time if you did! That's pretty funny!

Great post!

Stupendous!

I would've liked for them to have done a '63. My uncle had a 409 in white, red interior, and an off white top. I have memories of a five year old, experiencing an exhilirating trip to the airport in Cleveland, doing close to a hundred on the interstate, making sure we made our plane.

The '63 they did do- the one with the cast wing windows, would not have been good enough.
