The Commemoratives were the first issue from the newly revived Johnny Lightning. This was a great thing...it was the pre-internet early 90s, and to me, the Toppers were hard to find, there were few resources that I knew about, and the cars, for the most part, were mere memories in my mind. The only thing that disappointed me was the absence of a transparent, 'Spectraflame' style finish with these, but hey, it's okay. From what I understand, the Mustang and Continental never actually went into production back in the day; they came from extent designs... ![]()

Yes, these were 'Lost Toppers' much like the Charger and Camaro that came later in the Lost Toppers series. |
