Aftermath of flooding in central Oxford, just down the road from me :o I'd sure hate to have to foot the repair bill. Boat broke it's moorings and ended up as you see it, wedged half under the water!

A duck tries in vain to swim up the river, it didn't get anywhere though :D

There's a section of Trenton, up against the Delaware River, known as 'The Island', that floods like this every time there are heavy rains. People continue to live there, for reasons not entirely known to me. Perhaps they can't get out from under their mortgages. The government should buy it all up and condemn it, and build park land or something. It's really useless as anything other than a flood plain.

Happy you're safe and sound, Mookadoo.

And that's the important part! The water never made it to your house, I take it?

It very nearly did, but didn't. The water decided to assault us from the garden, but it didn't reach the doors though. Garden was a swamp for 3 days :D
