Anybody do custom Slot Cars? Now there is even more to do at AutoFest 2007 Slot Car Johnnie’s in conjunction with AUTOFEST 2007 is proud to announce the first annual AUTOFEST Concours d’Elegance slot car contest! There will be two divisions (Jr & Sr) as well as two different categories’ judged as follows: General Rules – - All entrants must be present at AUTOFEST 2007 to win (i.e. No mail in contestants) - Divisions will be as follows: - Junior Division (15 & Under) Age cut off is first day of show. - Senior Division (16 & Over) Age cut off is first day of show. - All car bodies must be made of plastic or resin - All cars entered in either category or division must run under their own power from a an Aurora, AFX, Johnny Lightning or Auto World manufactures “stock” Magna-traction, Thunderjet or Thunderjet Tuff-Ones style chassis. - No displays (i.e. dioramas) allowed. Cars will be judged on their own merit. - Employees and immediate family member(s) of AUTOFEST 2007 including sponsors, parent companies and their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising promotional agencies are not eligible. All judges’ decisions are final. Stock Category - All cars should remain as “stock” in appearance as possible w/ special emphasis on a “stock” real car (street or strip) look. Basically, you can add or change the wheels, tires, paint and decals but must keep a “stock” (street or strip) style appearance. Open Category - Basically, anything goes! Custom coach work, paint, decals, “fake” motors, spare tires, side pipes etc. but ALL parts must be made of plastic or resin. |
