I was on holiday in America for 2 weeks last month, and ended up buying loads of die-cast while I was there. Walgreens seemed to be the best place for die-casts, in my opionion. They were selling JL's in there for $4.29 each, but at the time they were reduced to half price. There wasn't a big selection of them though, but I managed to collect five from the same range:

Definitely a good price for those! In the northeastern US there is a store chain called Big Lots. Most of their goods are closeouts. A few months ago they had those JLs from that same Gold Series for $2 each. The yellow Super Bee and red Coronet vert seem to have been the hottest sellers from that release.

I must have visited about 4-5 Walgreens stores in San Francisco alone to find those. Not all of them sold them. I wish I'd have found more as you can't get them here in England. My favourite has to be the Mustang.

Congrats on the finds! My favorite is the Mustang as well- but I'm biased as I drive one. ;)

With as many JL fans as there are here, I suspect you'll be able to find trading partners for any new releases you might be interested in.
