Ok since this is the most JL orientated site I use I figured That I would post this question here. I bought this car at a local VW car show.... Whats the story behind this one?![]() And while I am here (Yes I know its not a JL) Swifty..... who made the golf second from the left?

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Its a Welly. I've heard that the Tomica casting may have given it some inspiration, although this is a Golf II and the Tomica is a Golf I. They are similar in size, and Welly was known for copying (and modifying!) Tomica tooling in the '80s. The Tomica Japanese-spec Celica 2800GT turned Welly US-spec Celica Supra is another good example. |
