50 Chevy P/U a PIP ?; I don't think so, do you?

The 50 Chevy Pickup from the latest Classic Gold release is painted red primer and has red primer wheels. So does that make it a PIP? Normally, maybe so, but the fact that they wrote Lightning Landscape on the doors means, to me, that the red primer is the final color and they have no further intention of restoring the truck, thus it's not a project, and it's not in progress.

It's just an old truck showing its wear. Kinda like it not all spiffed up. I'd like to see more "aged" pieces come out.

Reminds me of some "period" movies. Movies that are set in the 40's or 50's and all of the cars are nice and shiny. I'm sure a more accurate depiction would have cars is less-than-pristine condition. No clearcoat in those days and no rust treatment on the sheet metal.

I don't consider it a true PiP, but include it because it is not in show room condition. I call them the beaters . Like the Surf Rods as long as it gets you where your going who cares what they look like. Owned many like that when the weather was to bad to take the Harley out. 200 bucks for a 69 Impala to get through the winter in N Ill.was a deal.

Yup, I can think of several movies like that, and they always annoyed me too!

As for the truck being a PIP I'd say no- its just a workhorse.
