I've seen the Transit van before but I have no idea who it was made by. Most probably it was produced by a far eastern manufacturer. Could possibly be a copy of the Corgi version? |

The van's a Zylmex (MotorMax's predecessor). Not sure about the fire truck, and I need better pics of the Corvette to determine the manufacturer. Pics of the wheels and base would help. |

I thought those looked like Zylmex wheels on the Vette. References, yes, I can think of one but I'm not at home to pull it up. It's not a very good reference site, it's actually just a page with scans of Zylmex's catalogs from the late '70s. I'll dig through my collection and see if I can post some nice Zylmex pics later. They did a lot of unique cars (including a stock DeLorean with opening gullwing doors!). |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
|
I can see you found the site I was referring to earlier.
And yes, the Pinto does remind me of something interesting- in the 1970s Zylmex made the Pinto hatchback and wagon, and a Vega. MotorMax purchased the old Zylmex tools and still uses them from time to time, but has since launched much nicer castings of the Pintos and Vega. Weird how that works, isn't it?
Pictures of some vintage Zylmex coming this weekend! Pics are taken, but there's a lot of them so it'll take some time to sort them all out. |

If I'm not mistaken, the van the the fire truck are zylmex, I have the same ones and they came in a huge multi-pack of fire and police dept. vehicles. |
