...was a 1970 Chevrolet Nova. That's why I'm partial to this body style.

My second car was a 1969 Nova. Both had 250 straight sixes. Lotsa room and easy to work on.

Nice collection of Novas! My Mom had a '70 Nova SS with the 350 before I was born. One of her favorite cars to this day!

And you're getting better with the lighting!

You say that, Ray, because he doesn't e-mail you the "out-take" pictures of his nose hairs when he shoots a close-up with the camera pointing the wrong way!

My first car was just like this ............ only a hardtop .......... and tan....... and wasn't so gnarly looking. But other than that, it looked just like this:

Ya know, now that I look at that drawing again, I think I'm gonna send one of the black Impala's from Chevy Thunder to a customizer of my choice, and try to have a semi-replica of that cartoon car made ....... maybe without a hood, and a big honkin' blower on top???? (with the top down, of course! ;) )

My parents had a Nova...either a '69 or '70. One of the best cars they ever had.

My first car was an '81 Malibu. I wish I had that one in 1/64. My 2nd and 3rd cars were '80 and '78 Malibus respectively.

Johnny Lightning was supposed to do the '81 Malibu coupe but that casting was announced at 'Fest '06 and then dropped unceremoniously. JL missed the ball entirely by dropping this proposed model from their lineup. Considering the '87 Monte Carlo was announced at the same time (and likewise dropped) and is finally making an appearance in the '08 range perhaps we'll see the Malibu in '09? If not, it sure would make a good Fresh Cherries candidate!

I clearly remember seeing in a car magazine in the early '80s a G Body based 2 door Malibu SS Concept Car. It had a front air dam and rear spoiler, and if I remember correctly, the graphics were similar to what ended up on the Monte Carlo SS later.

Which magazine, and what year, I don't recall. I tried Googling it without sucess.

If they're gonna do a Malibu, I would MUCH rather like to see them re-tool the '66 they have in their toolbox (which is TERRIBLE!!). Heck, they re-tooled the '69 Camaro (which wasn't all that bad).

The "bug-eyed" Camaro wasn't all that bad? Oh how I hated that casting! The new's one better but not quite perfect in my opinion.

But yes, the '66 Malibu/Chevelle needs to be recast... badly.
