The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
|
Freshly liberated to be today's car of the day... this little Bug disappointed me. I've seen threads from folks who've had some problems with JLs in the past, and while I've had a few hoods that didn't close all the way in the past, it never really bothered me. This one however does: ![]() ![]() ![]() That's an insane amount of wheel hop right there! And while it's hard to tell for sure, it also appears that someone at the factory tried to drill out the rivet (possibly in an attempt to fix it?): ![]() I know others have had some defective JLs over the years and the company has replaced them- any advice on how to go about that? |

I have gotten a lot of cars like this.. It seems like more and more as the years go by. You would think with the reduced runs, they'd have more time to inspect this kind of thing and fix it. At $4+ a pop, why should I not expect a near perfect product. |

That's terrible! I've seen some pretty poor paint, pretty poor fit, and minor cases of standing on 3 wheels, but nothing that bad by far. |

Come on guys, it's a tired old Beetle with a couple of weak springs and a busted shock; RC2 just built it the way they found it!

I talked with Joyce at Kiddie Kar yesterday and they'll replace it and send the defective one back to RC2. Great customer service, I really can't say enough about these guys.
