The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Aside from the AutoFest announcements ('Fest will be August 22-24 at the Comfort Suite Hotel in South Bend, Indiana) and artwork depicting the dinner car (a Mopar!), this month's edition also includes: New casting alert- '72 Ford Torino, and it looks good!!! Pictures from this year's Chicago Auto Show. An announcement involving a famous drag racer. Pin-ups. Hummers. And a BWF Trans Am. ------------ My thoughts: 'Fest + JL = YAY! The Torino is going to be a winner. If the production piece looks as good as the mockup, this will be awesome. The BWF Trans Am is another winner! The Hummers look pretty good. Not my normal collecting focus but I could be tempted to get them. The pin-ups... the Corvette pictured looks lousy. I'm not sure where the pin-up part comes in yet, but there's a pin-up girl on the packaging, but the car just has some pin striping. I'm thinking these will not be big sellers... What are you waiting for? Go check it out: http://www.johnnylightning.com/ |

The casting selection is all wrong for the Pin Up series. Those cars just don't say Pin Up girls to me. |

Love the Trans Am BTW, that light on the WL version of the Area 51 police car really looks odd in that pic. Check out Wyatt's "White" Corner...looks like that cumbersome light had a collision with an unfortunate seagull
