In a recent post on another diecast BB, James had shown a Matchbox diorama that he happened to have in his collection.
I had posted that it was ironic that I had just taken one apart and put back together just before his post, but it was a different MBX diorama that I had in my collection.
The one that I have is shown below:

The casting on the left is Johnny Lightning.
You don't think that I would show the images here without the JL.
Of course not!!! Hey, I do collect Johhnies.

Another image of the JL '65 Shelby AC Cobra casting.

Note the twin-neck guitar in the Elvis billboard image.
These dioramas were very nice but probably over-priced at $19.92 + taxes each.
I have two of them. One in the original box and the one shown above.
This type of diecast display by a manufacturer is not often discussed.

I hope that you enjoy the topic and the images.

Cheers. Cobra

I remember TARGET selling the Matchbox Elvis dioramas.

They also sold the Matchbox 4 car Elvis box set.

No wonder I never found them here- no Target. I did get a few on clearance from Toy Liquidators a year or so after they were released. Now I know where they came from!

I didn't know this, so thanks for the info!! :)

You're welcome.
I know many of the members here from other BBs.
I have hung around and been a member of a few BBs in the last few years.
It's the members that make sites like this successful.
Friendliness and the sharing of knowledge do go a long ways.
I got a personal invite from Sean to come visit.
That was an offer that I couldn't refuse.

Cheers. Cobra
