The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

I used to follow NASCAR Winston Cup, but nowadays I don't follow any national or international racing series. I've been to one Winston Cup race (second Pocono race 1991) and two Nextel Cup races (second Bristol and Charlotte races, both in '04). I also used to attend short track races at the Penn National Speedway before it closed. |

I don't really follow any motorsports. However I used to follow NHRA back in the 80's & early 90's. I still participate at the local drag strip though. |

I haven't been to a motorsport racing event in years. Back in the early 1990s, I went to see the World of Outlaws winged sprint car race at the Action Track in Terre Haute, Ind. I used to watch some of the bigger NASCAR races on TV like Daytona but after Dale crashed and lost his life, I quit watching. I do watch the Indy 500 every year but that's the only open wheel race I watch all year. From late spring to early fall I do attend around 12 demo derbies in the course of a years time. Derbies are the only motorsports that I really care to follow or watch. In circle track races, I never could figure out or follow who was in the lead. With derbies there are no questions.

Back when I was a kid in San Antonio we were always at the drag strip for either drag racing or tractor pulls. My mom would always win tickets on the radio for those events and if it was a big event and we didn't have tickets, we would still go. My uncle had a sweet spot outside the fence near the pits where we were close to the cars and could still see the race. I nave been to a couple of demo derbys recently at the Buck here in PA. I guess that is it. The only motorsports I watch on TV is those crazy X-game motorcycle events where they are doing crazy flips on 90' ramps. |

I used to follow NASCAR as a kid, and I've been to my fair share of Charlotte and Martinsville races, but I'm not much into it anymore. I'll watch other flavors of racing on the Speed channel occasionally, and I love to watch WRC, but I don't really follow any of them. |

Anything that is on TV and I am around. From 1992-2001 I was at Watkins GLen every year for Winston Cup. They started adding on charges every year. Parking one year, extra fee for hospitality tent (after including it in the ticket price other years). Moving the PAID for parking lot farther away. Easier to stay home and watch it on TV. I still go to vintage races at Watkins Glen and also the 6 hour Grand American race. Went to the IRL race there and was bored watching the parade lap after lap. The vintage open wheel races were more exciting. Especially the old Formula one guys. I go to local DIRT and asphalt tracks on occassion. I like Drag racing also. |
