The old Corvette is definately my favorite and I'm looking forward to seeind more old race cars (with metal bases) from Johnny Lightning.

I'm thinking of converting from my previous opinion of the new releases in chrome. That scout recently made it onto my list of JLs to buy!

Nice load of diecast, BTW

The more I look at that big ole Chevy boat the more I like what I see. Thanks Chenty, Caprice Wagon's the one for me.

Chenty, those are all very nice additions to your growing JL collection.
I have only one of the four and that is the Ko-Motion Vette that I very recently obtained. The other three certainly are castings that I would be happy to add to my collection.
BYW, I see that you are expanding your horizons and branching out from collecting VWs.
Good for you.
Thanks for the pictures and sharing.

Cheers. Cobra

I've got the two Chevrolets also. The Corvette is nice! The wagon...I love the real car, but JL kinda forgot to make the "roundback" wagon have, well, a round back...

I'll wait for the Scout to have a real paint job, but that casting looks awesome! JL nailed that one! I admit, I've been on the fence about this most recent Land Cruiser, but I think you just sold me on it. I'm going to have to get it. I love the spare tire on the hood.

OMG I am Quoting myself, I was thinking, and tats something to be worried about, but the LandCruiser is looking better each time I see it, So I'll just put that one on the ole shopping list also.

But I agree I'll wait to the Scout gets some clothes on before buying one of them. And that being said I'll go into a store one day, just dying for a JL fix and it'll be there and it'll come home with me. :D

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
The LC and the Scout look good from here. I'll be looking for those. I like the Scout. The Caprice wagon? Forget it, all panels are off. Look how short and tall the driver's window is, and the squashed look the center of the vehicle has. Is this "selective compression," or "UN-intentional compression?" :D What was the patternmaker drinking when he did the master??? Pity, pity.

Here's an ad with the real car:

Zach- hope you won't mind but I edited your post. I took Wyatt's pic and flipped it so it's at a closer angle to the car in the ad. Makes it easier to compare the two.

On a side note, I now have the chrome Scout as well. Dragnet Supporter RAOKed me with it at the CARnival. This casting is so good I don't even mind the chrome.

No problem Swifty, it looks a lot better flipped around and provides a more accurate comparison. I too got the IH Scout in a trade. A great looking casting of a much deserved SUV. I can overlook the chrome body for one time.

I like the vette, will buy it if I see it. The blazer on the bottom, the paint job looks horrible IMO.

I'm not into chrome cars, kinda wish they didn't do it. But different strokes for different folks, i guess some really like the idea.

The two SUVs are a Toyota and an International. No Blazers are pictured. If your refering to the chrome SUV, it's just the casting rubbing up against the plastic which leaves a mark on the plastic. I got one last weekend and it looks that way as well.

Both are nice and are worth the buy IMHO. The chrome kinda grows on ya.
