I was fortunate enough to be allowed to go through 5 new cases of JL's at TRU this evening... American Chrome, Auction Insanity, Wicked Wagons, Gold Series, and a Truck series (forgot the name). No whities, and my diecast budget was limited, but I did pick up a couple. For the BWF and VW fans...![]() and I got the controvercial plastic chassis Hudson Hornet... ![]() My main issue with the Hornet is that the wheels and tires are waaaaay too skinny. |

The skinny wheels go back to the Racing Champions version of the casting- they always had skinny tires on their Mint cars. This shows on the Pacer casting as well... And thanks for the tip to check TRU! |

I noticed those RC wheels as well, but with all the talk about the plastic base, I forgot to even mention them. |

The Connecticut TRUs finally got the new stuff you're talking about! American Chrome, Auction Insanity, Wicked Wagons R2, Gold Series R8, and Truckin' America. Already have the Hornet from American Chrome (only casting I want from that series) and all 4 cars from Gold Series R8 (and R9 for that matter). Already have the Scout but picked up the Land Cruiser; picked up the Continental and the AAR Cuda from Auction Insanity(both look great in black!); and picked up the BWF VW bus from Wicked Wagons. I was going to get the other VW bus for an extra but the paint on the wheels was off center. Almost grabbed the Hummer H1, nice paint job, but I have enough examples of that casting in my collection. Glad to have a successful hunting trip!

Sweet! It is such a blast to see shelves stocked with new product! Mark, if you get back that way and the BB Mustang with the ghost flames is there, I could use 1 or 2.

Glad to have you here! And is that nice MK IV yours? My first car was a MK II so I'm rather partial to Supras myself.

The one in the picture is not mine, just loved the way it looked. My father has a 1998 TT in dark blue pretty much stock. I was driving it for about a month 1/2 untill he took it away and i got my acura tsx. The one in the picture looks almost exaclty like it. ![]() Pitcure from www.mkiv.com |

I love the color, and a targa roof (or even a moonroof/sunroof!) is the one thing I do wish my Mustang had available! I ordered mine from the factory and there is no open air option for the new Mustang other than a convertible. That said, I did see one with a sunroof a few weeks ago, so I know there are aftermarket kits.I hope to see some pics of your dad's at some point. A MK IV (actually, all four generations of Supra) is on my wish list someday if I ever have the money to start my own car collection.

Thats the main thing i love about it is the sport roof. had a 00' prelude a little bit ago and i was going to try and turn it into a sport roof but never got around to it. The supra is kept garaged at my dads shop now. Its about 20 mins away and go there maybe once every 3 months or so. I'll try to get some pics next time i'm there. |
