Support your local demo derby.

I believe this is a Welly version of the Mazda RX 7 coupe.

This is a fine little casting that I bought at a flear market for either 25 or 50 cents. Can't buy any cars with opening doors that cheap anymore. I had a yellow one very similar to this one as a kid. It did have different wheels, so perhaps it was a yatming or tomica. Really don't know who other than welly has done this car. Any info would be cool. :P

On http://www.breithaupts.com/totc186.htm an article examines the wellys in production and the #107 is given for the RX 7.

not a bad little casting. especially like the fact that there's a little wiper on the rear window.

Welly has added these nice touches to alot of their models. If you can overlook the wheels, these are very good castings.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
A lot of manufacturers did the first generation RX-7- Welly, Yat Ming, Matchbox ('79, '82 with spoilers, & an IMSA version!), Zymex, and others. The Welly is likely patterened after the Tomica but I have neither in my collection to compare.
