Geez, I've had this since they first came out. Bought it at Kaybee a long time ago, not long after my father became a carrier with the USPS. I resented its recent change to have that stupid sunroof (in that case, would have preferred a plastic body), and the silly unrealistic liveries it's had in the past 10 years or so. USPS or Canada Post--that's it, no stupid stuff.

I've never really looked up the manufacturer of the USPS trucks. I was curious what a Grumman was when I saw this thread!
As a company, Grumman has long been involved in making aluminum products. They made the famous "Goose" seaplane so beloved by pilots in Alaska and, as I recall, several types of "Warbirds" from WWII. My wife and I have a canoe they made. They make truck bodies and trailers for over-the-road trucks. The popular G.M. Step Vans are bodied by Grumman. Aside from their watercraft (most popularly canoes like we have), they don't have much recognition with the general public.
