Yeah, family vacation is next week. We're going to Williamsburg and DC from the 1st-7th, so I won't be on here much, if any. I will have the laptop with me though >:D

I guess DC has a crapflood of stuff, so maybe I will be distracted from my family a bit

Get ready for pictures!

Support your local demo derby.

Williamsburg is actually nice place to visit. Make sure you get some old tyme root beer while you are there. I spent a whole day there while on vacation around 1995. It was hot as heck but a great place to see and talk to all of the actors portraying the towns people.

Enjoy your trip Robbie!

/spots the accidental irony of thread title

Wow, there was a South Park episode called Super Phun Tyme that was about those types of actors and how they would, under absolutely no circumstances, break character. It was really good

Have fun! Warning- when driving(?) into Washington D.C. try to avoid rush hour. On my way down to North Carolina a few weeks back I sat in D.C. traffic for two hours. :(

Apparently we're staying on an Air Force base outside the city and will be taking the metro in. You live up that way?

I wish I was closer! I'm about three hours north of D.C. Next time you head up this way give me more advance notice and I'll see what I can do.

Enjoy your trip!

Arrived in Williamsburg last night, going to Jamestown and maybe Yorktown or something today. I'll probably get some pictures of the boats, even though they will be totally lame

Couple of finds at a toy store in downtown Williamsburg :D

The Siku set is just plain cool, the trailer is even licensed from a real trailer company. And I like that style of the 9-3. With the Viggen being the performance trim-level for this car and it only being $7, I had to pick it up. Some brand called Hongwell, it's pretty nice for $7.

Ye olde car and trailer set from Siku... ;)

Nice set- and nice SAAB as well. Hongwell is mostly known for 1/72 cars, all of which are done just as nicely as this 1/43.

Wow, finally back! It was an awesome trip, but it is good to be home. Real bed to sleep in tonight! I've got loads of great pictures, they'll come soon enough. But for now, unpacking and some R&R before life gets back on track tomorrow. And if anyone's curious, it's a very long walk from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial, especially in 90+ temperatures

And that Siku set is sweeet! It will get a spot on the shelf soon enough, although I tempted to put one of my MB Exiges (1:56) on the trailer instead!
