They arrived today! I was nearly afraid of messing these boxes up as I opened them:

And did you see that? The one I was most anticipating (Civic) is true 1/64! Awesome! Anyway, they had to be freed of course.

Hopefully I will get better pics later. And the Civic's hood opens, but when it's shut you can hardly tell. Same with the Celica's doors. And the gaps on the Evo's front doors aren't bad either. And the three cars have working suspensions! Take that, Matchbox and Hot Wheels :P

I will take much better pictures sometime down the road, these cars really deserve a closer inspection.

The Lancer and Civic are outstanding castings. Love the wheels they used. I bought a Lancer last week at a flea market for 25cents. You should use one of those for cars of the day sometime Rob. Is the four axle truck an airport water tanker? I see it has the scale marked as well at 1/159. It's so very cool to see some Tomicas and newer ones at that posted. Thanks Rob!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Awesome Tomicas- I have the Celica, but that's the only one from this bunch. I can't wait to see closeups!

The firetruck is particularly impressive. The hose on top is a seperate piece of plastic, 8 wheels, rotating nozzle, and numerous, immaculate tampoes.

All are stellar castings with awesome paint jobs. The Lancer and Civic are particular standouts detail wise for small scale imports. Great pics Rob.

Thanks for the closeups- you've just made the Civic and Lancer must haves for me! Thanks!

As for the stickers- the Toyota Racing Development stickers might look good on that car? I didn't put them on my own Celica, but they could definitely come in handy. If not on this one, then perhaps on another 1/64 Toyota.

PS: I don't normally collect fire trucks since they're so far out of scale with the cars, but that one is tempting...

I think the stickers would look awesome, but I just suck at applying them. And I've tried to sticker up some of my new Legos with the included sticker sheets, but they are starting to peel and crumble off...so I'm kinda afraid too.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Rob, you really did good on this bunch!! I like 'em all, and the Celica stands out with the look of the casting and the race scheme. I like that one. But I too, am very impressed with the fire tender. With a scale of 159th, it would be a perfect fit for an N scale railroad layout/diorama (1/160) and a "acceptable" fit for a model airliner scale diorama/airport scene (most plastic kits and some metal airliners are to the scale of 1/144-1/150). So that would be a must piece to add if you are one of those enthusiasts.

Also, nice of you to give us a photo of all the boxart, because that is part of the product and fun to look over as part of your purchase.

Indeed, the boxes are every bit as nice as the actual cars.
