Tomys Tomys Everywhere; Had to buy a new container...

As my collection of Tomy diecast grows, so does the need for a larger storage container.

I have a friend who works at Jo-Ann Fabric and told me that today was Teacher Appreciation Day - 20% off of everything for teachers, even sale items. Off I go, just to look, and find this huge container, which was/is perfect. It's even better because on sale it was $8.49 and I paid $6.79. (The original price was $16.99.) I come home, fill it, and realize I have way more Tomys than I thought.

In the blue box, there are 22 loose Tomys. In the orange Lock-A-Lock-Box, there are 13 Tomys in blister-packs, sent by my Stepbrother who lives in Japan.

Guess I must be a bit on the retentive side  because I put them in alphabetical order. I also have a list I keep on the computer and update as I add vehicles. (If I could do this with all my die cast, I'd be set...)

Thanks for looking...

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Awesome collection!

Tomicas are addicting. Once you get them, you can't stop! They're the rare manufacturer that not only gets the details right and the castings accurate, but charm is a standard feature built into each and every car Tomy makes. Opening features, working suspensions, what's not to love? Lots of play value!

Don't I know it...I'm waiting *patiently* for the release of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. I've seen it on ebay for pre-order, but I'd rather wait and get it from ToyEast directly.

Every one of the cars in the boxes have come out and been used - about half of the cars on blister-packs have been opened. So minty-mint? Probably, but I don't collect cardboard...

I do have an old Mercedes 450 SEL that's pretty much ready to put out to pasture...maybe bangered...but it's got tons of childhood memories in its trunk, so no banger. :(
