This is among the almost dozen castings I picked recently . . . They had just stocked the pegs for the first time so I had my pick of the castings I wanted. First, let's start off with a pic of what the casting looks like after taking it out of the blister. It sits on a plastic base and the top of the base resemble diamond plate. Very cool touch and attention to detail. It's held into place by two small screws going up through the plastic base and into the bottom of the car. Great if you want to put it back on the black base after taking it off to display later. ![]() ![]() This casting looks well proportioned. ![]() C-Pillar blends in with the rear fender in a seamless way. ![]() A true chrome bumper, no paint. ![]() ![]() Notice the two tone seats with a bit of white paint on the seat covers. Atttention to detail again. ![]() Hood opens in the correct way. ![]() ![]() ![]() The card that comes sealed with the blister is a bit unique as well. The back of the card holds a 'preview' pic. You can't see this unless you open the blister up and actually take the card out to look at it. The casting on the left almost apprears to be an Olds Toronado with suicide hinged doors. The other casting might be of the '55 or '57 Desoto, but I'm really not sure. ![]() This other card came from a car that I will feature soon here on the Garage. Looks like the interior of some custom wild dragster or something along those lines. ![]() A small paint chip was on the inside of the passenger door which I'm thinking is from the plastic insert used to hold the door open. The rear axle also looks to sit a bit low for a stock ride as well. See link to see a pic of a stock version of the real Ford. 1/1 '57 Ford Fairlane Those two small areas aside, this is a great casting with three moving parts and lots of detail. I see a bright future for this company so long as they continue to keep new and updated product on the shelves. They are a bit more expensive than other companies, but with what I believe is 6 castings per release, I think they can be attained within reason. Zach in thought.

Great pictures of a great car! I've got this one myself. As for the card- the Toronado will be one of the limos, and the interior piece is also to one of the limos (I think the '58 Impala) but I'm not 100% sure on that. |
