Thanks for the birthday wishes guys! I think that by far my 35th birthday had to be the worst one on record. Not that it was all that bad but I spent pretty much the entire day doing the one thing I really dislike. Flying. I was in Vegas for the week shooting in a pool tournament and our flightr home was Saturday. We had a blast in Vegas. Our team got 129th place out of 706 teams. Not too shabby considering we thought we would have only made it through 2 rounds. (We made it to the 6th round) I rented a pimp Caddy and had a blast driving that around all week. Even got to drive to the Valley of Fire Park about an hour out of Vegas just before dark on Friday. I wish I would have had more time there. It was awesome. At midnight on Friday/Saturday I did the one thing that I really wanted to do. I sat down at the slot machine where you could win a new BMW convertible and put $100.00 in and wished for a new car to drive home instead of flying. Well, that wish did not come true. I grew tired at around 2:30 and cashed out. The good news is that I cashed out at $125.00 so I actually made a little bit instead of losing my loot. As you can see by the time of this post, I am still getting over the jet lag. I spent the entire day laying around because I could not sleep on Friday night nor could I sleep on the planes (layover in Chicago. I should have had Swifty pick me up and hitch a ride home from Fest LOL) and we got in Sunday morning at around 3am and woke up nice and early to pick Madison up at her Nana's house. Well, gonna try to get back to sleep. I am sure I have a mess of a desk waiting for me at work tomorrow! |

Happy (belated) birthday! Sorry to hear you had such a rough day. Trust me, there wouldn't have been room for you in my car for the ride home (that, and I only got back last night around 3:30AM). That would have been one major layover, LOL! But it sure would have been a fun car ride back (and I agree with you- I much prefer driving to flying!). |
