Support your local demo derby.

For you guys and gals that like the new Tomicas, you might want to check out Milezone's site. Russ has some up for sale now.

http://www.milezone.com/products.asp?idCategory=254

Doesn't show which ones you get, but the price looks decent.

Yes, that is a decent price, about $4.35 per car. I'm shooting him an email to see if he can shed some light on what's included in that package.

From Russ himself:

"I will not know this until the product comes available, as this a first time
sample order for us. We are hoping to see new products mid next month.
Thanks"

Guess we'll wait and see!

Actually this sounds kinda cool..I'd be very interested to see what cars are in this collection, but as I just spent another $xx on Tomys, I'll have to wait and see.

Russ please us posted.

Hopefully he will update the site when they come in, they're usually pretty good about that.

Should be interesting! My guess is Tomica will send him a sample of all the different models they have currently in the range- a few cars, a few trucks, some service vehicles, construction vehicles, etc.

If it's like a trade box, chances are it will be a mixture of everything in their current range. And each box may be different in terms of its contents.

I had the offer of buying a Norev trade box last year, but I didn't in the end because their were too many models I didn't want.

That's why if at all possible, I'd like to see what's in the box before committing to buy. Despite being Tomy, I don't want to end up with a group of vehicles I'm not too keen about.

Or ones you already have. That's my major concern- that and getting the trucks (which are way too small for my liking).

Russ has them up now to buy individually or as a 23 vehicle set. Has pics for each casting along with the box. The GT-R looks cool. The Toyota MegaCruiser police casting is awesome looking. Some of the castings shown are ones that Rob and David have posted on here.

I'm glad I didn't get that set after all! I have a few of them (heh, the gold Nissan Wingroad was even car of the day a few weeks back!), and about half are vehicles that don't fit into my collecting scope (trucks/construction equipment- and the only reason they don't fit my requirements is because they are way too small).

I was going to order from Milezone, but I just had to have the Limited Civic Type R, so I made this order from GVC instead:

I like the Fit as well, it almost looks like a 4-door version of my car.

Two other sources for new Tomy's are go-velo-city.com ( Kevin Clark in Bellefonte PA) and tomysource@aol.com ( Bob Blum in Albany NY) Last I heard Kevin was selling his for $6 each and Bob for $8 . Both dealers were at Macungie for the "inside" show.

This is actually my second purchase from Go-Velo-City. I was impressed with how quickly the first came and how neatly it was packed, but the prices are a little higher than Milezone. Still, I'm willing to pay the price and that Civic just seals the deal. Do you know if Mr. Blum sells anywhere besides eBay?

Will do. I'll probably get the Limited version if they choose to produce it.

Go-Velo-City has a storefront in Bellefonte, and offers sales from their website as well. Likewise, Kiddie Kar Kollectibles in Reading has a storefront and a website as well. Unfortunately Kiddie Kar doesn't handle Tomicas.
