Support your local demo derby.

This afternoon I learned that my great uncle had passed away at the age of 91. Over the last handful of years, he had become like a grandfather figure to me. I had worked for him doing odd jobs at some property he owns on the outskirts of town mowing grass with a John Deere 4300 and he also taught me the basics of running a Cat backhoe as well. I've been blessed in life with having many people look after me, and my Uncle Dale was no exception. He had been a marine during WWII and came back and worked for the local power company for 30+ years. He had been retired for as long as he worked!

Spent all of this evening over at my great aunts house with family. I had just spent most of this past Monday evening watching the Jets/Chargers game and bs'ing with my uncle Dale. I'm really glad I got to spend alot of time with him. Feeling a bit sad now, but relief is also in my heart after he had gone through alot of medical problems over the past five years. He's off to a better place.

So I doubt if I'll be on here or the other boards much for the next several days. To Daniel, I will get a full list of what I'm sending you in our trade . We will get this trade completed in the near future. I have not forgot about you. To James, your box was sent last Saturday with the JL you wanted and we discussed on JLTalk. To Swifty, your box with the HWs was sent out on Tuesday afternoon so if should arrive by Friday at the latest.

So as a result of these events and my own personal wanting, I'll be off from posting for awhile from the Garage and other few boards that I post on or check out on a daily basis.

Best Wishes to all.

We completely and totally understand, and my condolences on your loss. I'm glad you got to spend a lot of time with him- nothing can ever replace the memories of time spent with a loved one.

Take your time and we'll see you when you get back!

I'd like to thank all of you for your thoughts/prayers over the last 5 days or so. I've spent a great deal of time over the weekend with family and attending the services for my great uncle. The ceremony on Saturday morning was an awesome but emotional celebration of my Uncle Dale's life.

It means a great deal to me that so many friends from all the diecast boards are here for me at this time. Considering I've yet to meet any of you makes it all that more special.

For the most part, I'm back to being on the Garage and the other boards that I visit on a daily basis. Thanks.
