Today I found this Pick Up. Is a pull back action about 1/43 scale with a lot of flaws. Obviously was not sold several years ago because the packaging was deteriorated and was kind of dusty... But brand new unopened.

Don`t say anything about who made it (the usual made in china only). Cost about a dollar... Opening doors an tailgate.

The right front door came loose and don`t close like it should, The color is terrible (was the only one in the store) but I like the interior that have good detail. Overall I`m not crazy about this pick up but hey It`s a ford. I wish it had different color and the grill in chrome. I hope somebody help me to find the company that made this truck.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Now that I've had a chance to really look at this truck- I like it! Pink isn't my first choice for a pickup (it is, however, one of my preferred colors for Mopar muscle cars and '60s Mustang ragtops), but this casting is not bad at all! I don't know who made it, but is there any chance that there's a logo of any sort on the base or the back of the box? |

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!

It might be a KINSMART, or similar brand sold at supermarkets and roadside travel / service station stores. I see a lot of such vehicles in approx. 1/43 scale that have nice looks and features, but many have NOTHING written on the bottom or just "Made in China." Probably to avoid licensing violations. Keep an eye out, sometimes you find some good pieces even if odd scales ("fit the box scale"). Walgreen's had a big pile on sale one day at $1 each, and I picked up a 1960's VW bus, a Scion xB, and an airport shuttle van painted nicely. I'd ask SWIFTY to move this post to the SHOWROOM and you may get a better response there with more viewers. Edited by ivantt, Nov 22 2008, 02:16 PM.

Forever Blue Oval

I am thinking this truck started out red. After years being pelted by UV rays the cheapo paint faded to pink. |
