Support your local demo derby.

Whoa! This might be surprising, but I don't think I've seen this casting before. The copper colored one with disc rims is a standout. When was the last time MB used this casting? I assume this is no longer available either. Great pics SS.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I've always liked this casting. I have half the versions shown- I have the black/orange, yellow, red "Carter", and blue IROC-Z. I really like the blue/silver Z-28. When did that one come out?

Zach, it's been out of production for years. They no longer have the tooling for it, but I seem to recall a DARE variation circa 2000 as the last one I remember.

Yes the tooling on many great matchbox models were broken/stolen in 2000,in the chinese factorys. The dare model came out in 1996. The Blue/Silver model came out in 1992.

Awesome cars! I have the blue version.

Back in the day, my Mother had a yellow 1986 IROC which she loved. It was stolen out of our driveway and wrapped around a telephone pole about ten miles away. Every now and again she'll mention how much she still misses that car.

Ouch! My condolences to your mom! My Mom had a '70 Nova SS before I was born. She loved it! Any pics of your mom's Camaro?

The copper colored one with disc rims is a standout.

That one is from the Laser wheel series, they actually are like mini prisms that reflect in various colors when rolled. Really neat, I think there were about 12 issued in that Series.
