Hey Swifty, Here's a couple more pics I found of my 82 GT... I can't tell ya how much I loved that car... It ran 11:70s in the quarter at 128 mph... I built every square inch of the drive train myself... A posi 373 rear end, aluminum drive shaft, a TKO 5 speed tranny, Center Force clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, and a drive shaft loop... I started with a brand new 1990 Ford Motorsport short block equiped with ARP rod and bearing bolts... A set of Ross 11.5 to 1 pistons, a Ford Motorsport 512 lift roller X-cam, A set of Dart aluminum heads with 202/160 valves and a set of Crane roller rockers, A complete MSD ignition system, distributor, wires, 6AL box and Blaster coil, A good set of Hooker headers (long tubes), A weiand Stealth manifold topped off with a Holley 780 double pumper carb (a little tricked out)... The quickest time it ever turned was a 11:54 on a real cool night about 42 degrees and about 6 pounds of air in the slicks... It got very, very squirrley about 3/4 of the track and scared the pee out of me... I never ran it that low again... But it did run a consistant 11:70s with 10 to 12 pounds of air in the slicks... I ran a 75 shot of nitrous on it one time and it broke the tires loose at about 100 mph and I almost hit the wall... Again it scared me pretty bad... It wasn't long after that that I was diagnosed with cancer and had to sell it... I got a great price for the car, trailer and spare parts, $10, 500.00... But I still miss the @#%& out of it... I still got all my little cars to play with though... I'm still happy !!! ![]() ![]() This was in the magazine "The Race Pages" from the 2000 NMRA Nationals... I finished 8th out of a field of 39 cars... ![]() ![]() Edited by Stangfreak, Dec 18 2008, 12:17 AM.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Wow! I wish you still had it! Is it still competing with its new owner? |

I sincerely hope you are in full remission and the C never ever rears its ugly head with you again. We have been living with it for 3 years now, as you probably know, my son was diagnosed with it in Dec 2005. he is 11 now. It is a disease I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Thank you for the pics of your Mustang, It is a very nice car.
