Same here! And they're almost in scale with one another!

Not that I'm biased or anything  but the Tomy looks much better. It has better lines.

Yes I agree with you, much better lines and it is a tad smaller.

I'm in agreement as well. And opening doors for another plus. And they also used the tooling to make an ambulance too...

I have not seen the Yat Ming, but several manufactures pirate company's casting and re-release them under other brands.

That ambulance looks pretty cool too...it's one I've been on the hunt for a while. It has shown up on ebay but the price goes sky high so I always have to pass. :(

Correct! Likewise on the Rolls-Royce, Toyota Crown, Continental MK IV, and Dodge Coronet castings...

Been looking for this Caddy and the Lincoln for a heck of a long time now to no avail. Got to love mid 70s luxury boats! :D

There's a local antique store that has the Olds Tornado for $15-$20 if memory serves...it looks good but has yet to find a home.

I paid $15 for mine (MIB) about 10-15 years ago. If you don't have it (and it's in good shape), I recommend getting it- that's not a bad price at all. Very hard casting to come across!

Yatming also made a Cadillac Seville "inspired" by the Tomica casting.

The red one reminds me of a JL test shot . . . The third one pictured actually looks like a realistic color from the mid 70s . . . Thanks for the pics Dean.

I'd say both the red and the two-tone Seville are pretty tough ones - good stuff!

:surprise:

Wow! Love them all! Tough choice between the ambulance and the two tone Seville as to which is my favorite. And the champagne color is perfect.

up until recently i never looked at tomica.i have now started collecting the classic car models as they really are brilliant.
the quality of the old ones like these is really amazing and in the comparison shown the tomica is the best.

what year was the tomica made.

All of these castings date to when the cars were new and in showrooms. So '70s for the Fleetwood and ambulance and 1980 for the Seville.

Here's the years they were made:

F2-1 Fleetwood Brougham 1976-1985
F19-1 Fleetwood Brougham Ambluance (sedan version, mega rare) 1976-1977
F45-2 Seville 1981-1985
F51-1 Fleetwood Brougham Police Car 1978-1985
F60-1 Estate Ambulance 1978-1985

The F-Series was discontinued in 1985 and none of the Cadillacs made it into the main 1-120 series. Hope this helps, but beware: Tomica are highly additive!

Happy hunting! :D
