Why oh why must they make the rear wheels larger?!

Awesome paint and decent casting, but for now I will have to hope for a MB version like this.

Support your local demo derby.

Is this a custom or another one of those 'stolen' new MBs with HWs type of wheels on them like that have been posted on some other boards?

This is the new Hot Wheels casting. Matchbox did it last year, which makes it a bit of a curious pick for Hot Wheels this year. Looks pretty good to me, and as for the larger rear wheels, nothing a simple wheelswap can't fix. ;)

Ah, sorry, no, this isn't the new HWs - this is a Matchbox casting I customised!

I just found the Custom and Resto section after I posted this - sorry!!!

But I am flattered by the comments anyway, thanks a bunch! :D

So I take all the blame for the over-sized wheels at the back. My inspiration for this Custom was the picture below I'd seen on the net:

The "recipe" for this Custom couldn't be easier though: 1 x spray can of Tamyia "German Grey", one set of Wehrmacht decals from e-bay (1/72 scale), wheels of your choice and that's it.

By the way, the real HWs 181 Thing has the same size wheels front and back, so you guys'll be happy. It also has the hood up.

Completely fooled me! I've heard reports of the new Hot Wheels Thing hitting but haven't seen one myself yet. If it looks anywhere close to as good as this it'll be a winner though!
