"Lot" Purchase

This is the rest of the "lot" purchase from today...

I really wanted the Majorette Renault as well as the purple Chevy Citation (in another thread.)
The MB Firebird is almost mint, with minor paint loss on one fender.
The Corgi Rover is very cool, despite lots of play wear.
The farm machine goes with a tractor I've had since childhood...perhaps Zach could shed some light on what it is and what it does.

The rest - nothing I'm excited about, but perhaps someone else is.

The Kidco Firebird is pretty cool and in fairly decent shape. The hood even opens. If anyone's interested, drop me a PM.

Neat looking Camaro, is it a "no name" That gold thing in the back. I have one just like it, I am not sure what it is either, some bodies bad interpretation of a Firebird I guess.

Are you looking for any particular Majorettes. I have many, and lots of doubles and triples, all used though, and some in bad need of resto work.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
First of all, great finds. I love Corgi's SD1 casting, so  especially on that one! I believe that particular Matchbox Firebird was in a "Smokey & The Bandit" themed (but not licensed!) set. I've seen it at Kiddie Kar before, but I don't recall seeing it sold as a single.

The green Mustang is a (Welly?) copy of an ERTL '84 GT. This, the original ERTL, and a Road Champs convertible are the only examples of the 1983-4 Mustang in this scale. No one has ever done the '85-'86 in 1/64, though I have seen some nice ones in 1/18.

The Kidco Firebird is really neat! Not the best casting in the world, but it has charm and play value.

The gold car is a 3rd generation Camaro (barely). Look at the headlights and taillights- no pop-ups or full length taillight bar, so this is a Camaro not a Firebird. The blue Camaro is (I think) another Kidco. Though it might be a Universal.

Nice lot David  I'd have bought it for the Renault as well.

Support your local demo derby.

Really nice scores David. The Kidco Camaro is one of those castings that has more character than perhaps realness to it.

The tractor is a bit of mystery to me. Judging by the plastic wheels, I'd guess that it's an ERTL casting that was perhaps released in the late 1980s or early 1990s. A John Deere would be a good guess though I've never seen anything that looks like that in small scale or a 1/1. In the late 1800s, massive steam powered tractors ruled agriculture but John Deere did not start producing motorized tractors until they purchased Waterloo Engine Company in 1918 which already had one tractor in their line. JD did not produced their own tractor until the Model D in 1923.

This is a long way of saying that other than it appears to be made by ERTL, I know nothing about it! :D

EDIT: If you could post some up close pics of it, I might be able to figure out what it really is.

I'll get those up in the next day or so...Parent-teacher conferences are upon me so I'm getting home fairly late. I have 40 Families to confer with which makes for a very long week.
