I know you guys will already know about these cars, as your very much into the cool "niche" brands. Paul's Model Art MINICHAMPS are pretty much the king of 1:43 in the USA but I had no idea they produced any 1:64 scale.

So here are three 1:64 racing replicas I picked up on Ebay in a nice lot auction ther other day. As I am all about sedan road racing, this just thrilled me!

I have no idea when these were released (I would guess 2000 to 2003 based on the packaging) but here are three German DTM (thier top road racing series) rides from 1993....these things are AMAZING! Any one have some more to share? Post them up!

Minichamps are the finest detailed 1:43s ever.

Anything they'd do in 64's gotta be awesome...and it appears so.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
While I'm not familiar with that German racing series, I'd love having one of those well done cars in 1/64!

I like :D

Unfortunately, Minichamps are expensive and hard to find, I don't have any in my collection.

I have mabe 10 or 11 in 1:43 and even a 1:18 (truly breath taking!0 but these were the first I had seen in 1:64. I do love this company, even if my wallet does not!

Love them all... There was only one store that caried them back in the 90s... Most were 1/43 scale, but I do remember seeing a very few 1/64s... That hobby store closed up several years ago and I have yet to see them anywhere around my home...
I love that Opel the best !!!
Congrats on your score !!!

I have a lot in 1:43 scale, about half are Fords, produced for European for dealerships.

I haven't got any 1:64 Minichamps models, but I have seen them before. The level of detail on them is very good, considering they were produced about 10 years ago. Now, there are plenty of 1:64 manufacturers that could rival that level of detail.

Yes, they are mid-90 or so. And quite hard to find now - so you've scored well there.

I haven't got any...but for some other good quality racing models, there's Kyosho, Biante and CM's.

As Rolls Royce used to say, the Quality will long be remembered after the price is forgotten...

Yep, I do have quite a few Kyosho and CM's. I do need to add a few examples of the Biante in the collection though.

As I recall the MiniChamps 1:64 were issued for a short while in approx the mid 90s.
Since I only collect models of cars originating from N America, I never bought any.
I think the dealer price was about $12 each back then. How i wished they made models to fit my collecting parameters ! I would have grabbed them in a heartbeat!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
All three put similar Matchbox and Realtoy castings to shame!

I've seen these at shows in the past (there are a few vendors who have tables of the 1/43s for about $55 or so each with a few scattered 1/64s thrown in for good measure) but I've just never been able to get over the sticker shock on them.

I paid $5 each and combined shipping of $7.50 for the set. So at $7.50 each , I am thrilled!!!! I have Koysho 's that I paid big money for, but these still equal thier "cool" factor for me.

I glad you guys enjoied the cars. It's fun to share your toys with others that appericate them as well.

I just remembered that there used to be a couple of Ford Mustangs racing in the DTM in about 1993.I know Minichamps did these in 1/43,but I don't think they did them in 1/64.

Just realised that I have got one of the 1/43 Mustangs,I'll post a pic tomorrow :D

Thanks for the wonderful pics! Based on these, I went to the Bay and have both marked under my watching list. If the price is right, I will add these bad boys to my case!
