...3 Triang Minic 'Buick-style saloons' clocking in at an impressive 59 years old, which, for cars made entirely out of soft plastic is quite and achievement I found these at the local antiques fair on thursday, paid £10 for the 3. The maroon-ish coloured one is the best of the 3 as it only has a split B pillar and a tiny crack in the roof where the split screen pillar is. The other 2 though are total wrecks, the yellow one the stallholder told me his brother stepped on it when he was a kid and so both the body and the base are completely buggered, although arguably the orange one is worse to look at - it has cracks all over the body and missing pillars, and the metal trim on the right hand side is actually holding the body together! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!

Those are amazing! Approx. what is the length? Finds like that are well worth the price if it is something you really want. Now they will have a happy home with a collector and not disappear in the trash with some uncaring person. Good pictures, nice finds. |

they're about 7 inches in length, I expect the nicest one to be worth a bit more than what I paid for the 3 but I'm really not sure, the other 2 are good if you have some in need of parts |

They are sweet! The grille and top chrome trim on the hood, as well as the dimensions, indicate a 1942 Buick Roadmaster. |

SWIFTY, I didn't know of Triang making toy cars, but they were more known for OO scale train (close to HO) ranges and I believe they owned Frog at one time, who made some very good and unusual plastic model kits, especially 1/72 and 1/96 aircraft. |
