Hiya Zach and All...Here are a few pics of the tractor I got as part of a lot purchase last weekend.

This tractor I've had for almost 30 years...cat not included.

Tractor 2 - this one came in the lot...I know nothing about it except it does say "Made In USA" on the right side.

Support your local demo derby.

Hi David.

The first tractor is a Waterloo Boy made by the Waterloo Boy company between 1914 and 1923. John Deere would later buy the company and this is the 'original' John Deere tractor although JD did not build or design it.
Pic of the real Waterloo Boy.

The Waterloo Boy casting that you have is made by ERTL. I have a couple of versions of this casting. This one is from 1986.

As for the second casting, it appears to me to be of a ERTL casting from the late 1970s or early 1980s. I would also guess that it is of a steam powered tractor from around the turn of the century or older. The John Deere colors of green and yellow are a mysterious choice for this casting since JD didn't build their first tractor until the Model D was produced in 1923 which was a small 2 cylinder all fuel engine, not a steam powered engine. So I really am stumped on that one as the pics you have shown of it here and in the other thread are the first ones I've ever seen of it. I would be content to say that it's an ERTL casting from the late 70s or early 80s though. Since it does say 'Made In The USA' ERTL would almost have to be the company that made it cause very few other companies that produced tractors were even around in the 70s and 80s.

Hope this answers a few questions you had!
