Was the bodystyle of this stock car based on the '73-'77 mid size Olds? Think they called that 'Colonnade' styling based on the roof pillars. Really awesome replica Dave. Actually wish i had the $ and room for large scale items in my collection. Action does know their classic NASCAR. |

You are correct. The Cutalss went to square headlamps in 1976 and also they had two nose pieces, a flat one and this sloped nosed version. The Nascar boys used the slope nose version to go through the wind faster. 1977 was the last year of these big bodies as the 78 versions for Olds,Chevy,Buick and Pontiac were down sized. |
