I'll have to see if I can find any info out on Mebetoys when I get home Larry. I don't think this brand was included in the book that Dave Weber, Mark Foster and Kimmo wrote on small scale diecast companies. |

It was an Italian company that was later used by Mattel to produce the larger scale cars like the Trantula and a host of others which then carried the Hot Wheels logos on the base as well. Without question especially for the time period these were very well built and fairly accurate quality diecast. |

Zach We did not include mention of any manufacturers that only produced models in excess of 1:50 scale. If they did smaller scale models , we were not aware of them! Edited by DaWeber, Mar 2 2009, 07:13 PM.

I was thinking you limited the info to just companies that produced 3" size diecast or just a bit bigger like Siku Dave but couldn't remember the exact scale. |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

1/43 is a very popular scale in Europe. I wouldn't be surprised if 1/43 manufacturers could fill up a book that size (or longer!) on their own. |
